Aging and the Arts Poetry Circle: Timothy Donnelly

Join us for the next Aging and the Arts Poetry Circle featuring the work of Timothy Donnelly

Join us for a monthly poetry discussion led by The University of Arizona Poetry Center docents. This event is free, and no preparation or knowledge of poetry is necessary to participate. A reading packet will be shared. For anyone who enjoys poetry or learning more about poets in a conversational setting, this informal gathering includes many opportunities to contribute to the conversation and ask questions. It is also a great way to meet people in the community who have similar interests. The discussion will feature the work of Timothy Donnelly, who reads at the Poetry Center on October 19th at 7 pm.

Timothy Donnelly’s most recent book, Chariot, was published this year by Wave Books. His previous books include The Problem of the Many, winner of the inaugural Big Other Poetry Prize, and The Cloud Corporation, winner of the 2012 Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award. His poems have been widely translated and anthologized, and have appeared in such periodicals as American Poetry ReviewConjunctionsHarper’sThe Kenyon ReviewThe NationThe New RepublicThe New YorkerThe Paris Review, Poetry, and elsewhere, as well as in the Best American Poetry and Pushcart Prize anthologies.
