This course addresses a unique topic in public health that is appropriate for undergraduate and graduate students. The course will emphasize a specialized aspect of public health not routinely offered in the general curriculum. In an interdisciplinary and intergenerational environment, students will learn about innovative approaches for promoting health and wellbeing in growing older populations around the world. Through lectures, reading, discussion, lab work and practicum in the community, students will gain research skills and insights on aging-related challenges, needs and opportunities to enhance their personal growth, professional development, social connection and career option. |
